Creating a thriving community
Thoughtfully designed shared areas throughout the 9,000sqm of dedicated open landscaped space, engage residents of all ages, to foster connections, play, and discovery. Spaces include picnic areas, nature play, and soft landscaping.
The regenerative landscape design approach features many indigenous and native species, was developed in collaboration with First Nations advisor Richie Allen, to support a Connection to Country and create a thriving wildlife habitat.
The precinct has been designed to prioritise safety with pedestrian-friendly, tree-lined streets and low vehicular speed limits. Walking, gathering, and connection is encouraged through this landscape-focused design
Mingle Program
The area has been carefully planned and includes space left deliberately open for residents to plan, create and design. Our Mingle program will support residents to connect with one another and make the precinct truly their own, in ways that they decide. This could include shared resources, edible gardens, art, or play opportunities. As new residents move in, our teams will support introductions through a few activities over several months. Learn more about Mingle here.
The Mingle team can help residents bring their shared community ideas to life. We can support initiatives such as:
- Communal garden beds
- Shared storage areas
- Artwork within laneways
- Extra plantings in the garden spaces
- Community street libraries
- Plant swap station
- Local resident’s groups
- Book clubs
