The Moncrieff community is a step closer to enjoying local shops, services, and green spaces, with the Suburban Land Agency awarding the development tender for the Moncrieff Group Centre to Woolworths Group.
Located at the corner of Horse Park Drive and Mirrabei Drive, the 24,740m² site will be transformed into a vibrant hub featuring a supermarket, retail and dining options, recreational facilities, and open green spaces. The development will also include up to 90 multi-unit dwellings and 16 affordable homes.
“This is a really exciting step forward for Moncrieff,” said Suburban Land Agency CEO Adam Davey. “The new group centre will be a people-focused place where the community can come together.”
The project is guided by the Design and Place Framework and shaped by community feedback. Sustainability is a key focus, with plans for rooftop solar, EV charging points, and a 7.5-star or higher NatHERS rating.
Woolworths State Manager Property Development NSW & ACT, Wesley Dose, said the project reflects the company’s commitment to supporting growing communities in the ACT.
Settlement is scheduled to take place on 24 June 2025.
